Bolton Veterinary Hospital - Accepts volunteers for their job shadow program. Volunteers follow vets and technicians around for a limited time, assisting only a little but it's a good way to get to know the place and get your foot in the door. For more information contact Emily.
Manchester:
Lutz Children's Museum - Wildlife rehabilitation clinic and small zoo accepts volunteers to help feed animals and clean their enclosures year round. Resident animals include a ground hog, mice, gerbils, chinchillas, snakes, and other similar small animals. They need responsible and reliable people, do not apply if you don't intend to show up! You can make your own schedule for any day of the week and work as much as you'd like, the work is easy and not stressful. No paying positions are available for now.
